Pani Puri And Everything You Can Make With It

pani puri recipe

There is no need to introduce Pani Puri. It is one of the most popular street snacks and a crowd-pleaser among all ages. Without a doubt, it is an Indian favorite and always appeals to all flavor palettes. In different parts of the country, Pani Puri is known by different names. Among them are ‘Golgappa’ in the North, ‘Puchka’ in Calcutta, ‘Gup Shup’ in Orissa, and ‘Pani Puri’ in the rest of the country. The puris are made up of small spheres made from semolina or wheat flour that is rolled out into very small sheets and deep-fried to a golden brown color. They are then stuffed with mashed potatoes, boiled chickpeas, chopped onions, and sweet chutney, and then dipped in chilled mint tamarind water (the pani) and eaten whole. You can customize the pani puri ingredients to meet your liking.

The most important thing about Pani Puri is authenticity – it should bring you back to the streets of the crowded city, to the heat and dust, to the pedestrians jostling you as you eat, and to the Bollywood music that is always playing somewhere in the background. The more chemically processed and refined puris that are available in today’s markets do not have the same authentic flavor. This is why Danfe’s Uncooked Pani Puri is the ideal ingredient for homemade pani puri – it is not chemically refined and makes some airy and crispy puris. These are some amazing chaat recipes using uncooked panipuri.
